| Album: Toothpick Bridges For the final project in physics class, students were given 750 flat toothpicks, a spool of thread and some Elmer's glue. With only those materials (and an optional "base" to which they could affix their bridge) they had to make a bridge that would support a 5 lb. brick. The span had to be 12" long, and the "roadbed" had to be 9" off the ground. Here is a sampling of the many creative designs.
